How is it possible that the Church of Jesus Christ, His bride, can become a haven of protection for an abuser? What are the cultural nuances that allow an abuser to thrive and function, yet keep abusive behavior hidden within Anabaptist settings? What ways of thinking in a church actually promote an atmosphere of ignorance toward this type of behavior? But more importantly, what can the concerned church brotherhood do to reverse this reality? What can churches do to insure they are truly “Havens of Rest” for their flocks? Phil explores the answers to these and other questions about the effects of and solutions to certain Anabaptist mindsets that can make them unsafe sheepfolds.
